THIS SUMMER WE’RE TALKING ABOUT GAP YEARS! The Grid hit the streets to ask Glasgow Young Scot Card holders what their ideal Gap Year would be!
Gillian - Age 18
I would spend a year in France working in a restaurant. Hopefully this would help improve my French! It would be great to learn about the culture and meet lots of new people.
Laura - Age 17
I would love to travel from the north to the south of New Zealand during our winter when it’s really warm there and learn about the Maori traditions.
Katie Ann - Age 18
Camp America would be my ideal Gap Year. It’s a great chance to meet new people and learn about other cultures, You also get up to ten weeks to travel around America.
Monica - Age 16
My ideal travel destinations would be France, Spain, Italy and Luxembourg. I would love to work in Euro Disney during my travels but it would also be good to improve my language skills.
Evelyn - Age 17
I’d love to travel across Europe for 6-12 months after I finish University. I really want to live abroad when I’m older – but I don’t know where! I’m sure this would help me choose.
